Most mornings as we are waking up our 1 year old kitten will come up and purr and cuddle.?

Then all of a sudden she will attack and bite. We are usually startled and react by pushing her away. Then she keeps attacking. Her litter box is in the bathroom so closing her out of the bedroom is not possible. We don't want to make her spend the night in the bathroom but how else can we discourage this behavior. She has multiple toys to play with so it is not boredom. She has been de clawed. We have tried a loud NO! but this doesn't help either
