Was the Roman Catholic Inquisition one of the greatest disasters ever to befall mankind?

Well in a way it was worse than the holocaust becoz, ppl twisted or misunderstood wat the Bible said and judged others based on that. And the sadest thing here was it was Christians who persecuted other true christians. The Bible says to "judge not lest ye be judged ..." In the holocaust a mad man named Hitler persecuted others, but here it was the CHURCH.
